The catalogue for next month's Inglis Melbourne 2yo and 3yo Breeze Up Sale , to be held at Oaklands on October 26, is now online.
Vendors have supported the sale with 144 two and three-year-olds by some of the most desirable sires in the world catalogued for the one day sale.
The Inglis Ready To Run Sale has built up an outstanding history of results over the course of time.
No less than 158 graduates have won or placed in stakes races, including 31 at Group 1 level.
Ready to Run horses have won a total of 650 races in 10 different countries and individual sales have provided a winner to runner ratio of up to 78%.
Group 1 winners from the sale include Demerger and Lazer Sharp, in addition to the classy sprinter Taikun and Hong Kong's multi million dollar earner Planet Ruler.
Sea Battle, who stamped himself as a genuine big race contender with a superb return to racing last Saturday, is another classy graduate.
The Mark Kavanagh trained Quest For Fame gelding cost just $15,000 at the 2005 sale, but is now the winner of more than $320,000, with the promise of more to come.
Inglis Director Peter Heagney said more of the same can be expected from the 2008 catalogue.
“This year's catalogue probably contains the best bred horses we've had in recent years,” Heagney said.
“Most of Australia's best sires are represented and the history of this sale tells us that buyers will have plenty of chances to again secure a classy racehorse.
“We're very proud of the performances of graduates from this sale and I have no doubt the quality is there again this year to build on that record.”
Reigning Champion Sire Encosta De Lago has a colt from the immediate family of Marauding, while New Zealand's great stallion Zabeel is represented by a half-brother to G1 Hong Kong International Mile winner and $5million earner, The Duke.
Australia's Champion Sire of 2006-07, Flying Spur, has three youngsters catalogued.
Other proven sires include Bel Esprit, Catbird, Choisir, Fusaichi Pegasus, Hussonet, More Than Ready, Pins, Rock Of Gibraltar, Rubiton, Strategic and Testa Rossa, while hot first season stallions Fastnet Rock and Elvstroem also have progeny in the sale.
Horses will be stabled at Oaklands from Sunday October 19 and are scheduled to Breeze up on Tuesday October 21 and Thursday October 23. Vendors have the option of breezing their horses twice if desired.
The Breeze Up Sale will complete a wonderful weekend in Melbourne, with the auction to be held the day after the Cox Plate, where star Inglis graduates Weekend Hussler and Samantha Miss are among the leading contenders.
For those buyers who can't be in Melbourne though, the breeze ups will be streamed via the internet, with videos and times to be then posted online. The Online bidding service will also be in use, as will the online x-ray repository .
