New $2.4 million Inglis Triple Crown Bonus Launched

In a major boost for buyers of yearlings, Inglis is delighted to launch the new $2.4 million Inglis Triple Crown Bonus for two and three-year-olds.

The new Inglis Triple Crown Bonus takes the total prizepool on offer across the Inglis Race Series to $5 million for yearlings sold in 2012.

As part of the now $5 million Inglis Race Series, a $2.4 million Bonus will be paid by Inglis to the connections of the same horse that can win the three legs of the newly created Inglis Triple Crown Bonus.

Inglis Triple Crown LEG 1
Must win either:
A) $250,000 Inglis Banner (2YO, 1000m) at Moonee Valley on Cox Plate Day, October 2012
Or
B) $250,000 Inglis Nursery (2YO, 1000m) at Randwick on Villiers Stakes Day, December 2012

Inglis Triple Crown LEG 2
Must win either:
A) VRC Sires Produce Stakes (G2 2YO, 1400m) at Flemington on Newmarket Hcp/Australian Cup Day, March 2013
Or
B) ATC Sires Produce Stakes (G1 2YO, 1400m) at Randwick on ATC Derby Day, April 2013

Inglis Triple Crown LEG 3
Must win:
$400,000 Inglis Guineas (3YO, 1400m), April/May 2014

There are four different paths that can be taken to win the Bonus and there is no restriction if field sizes are small throughout any leg and qualification is simple.

“From the start the Inglis Race Series has been about flexibility and returns to owners and trainers, which we have continued through into the design of the Inglis Triple Crown Bonus,” Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster said.

The sole eligibility restriction on the Bonus is that yearlings must be offered (sold or passed-in) exclusively at Inglis Yearling Sales in 2012 and be nominated to the Inglis Race Series by 31 July 2012.

The new initiative is offered with no increase to the current Inglis Race Series nomination fees.

“We are extremely pleased to be able to offer up the largest bonus in the Southern Hemisphere to clients that purchase at our yearling sales and enter those purchases into our lucrative race series,” said Webster.

“With 21 races held at 17 different tracks across New South Wales, Victoria and ACT for two and three-year-old graduates, the Inglis Race Series has continued to grow each and every year, with this great new reward another string to its bow,” Webster added.

Last season’s Inglis Nursery winner Pane In The Glass and Inglis Banner winner Elite Falls both finished within two lengths of the winner in the Group 1 ATC Sires Produce Stakes, so the $2.4 million Bonus being live going into the Inglis Guineas is certainly within reach.

“The Inglis Race Series has already provided my stable with great success this season with our Classic sale filly Diamond Earth. The new $2.4 million Inglis Triple Crown Bonus is a wonderful initiative available to all trainers, owners and breeders, and is something I will certainly be chasing,” commented trainer Anthony Cummings this morning.

If won the $2.4 million Inglis Triple Crown Bonus will be distributed to:
80% ($1,920,000) to Owner/s
10% ($240,000) to Trainer
5% ($120,000) to Breeder
5% ($120,000) to Vendor
