New $75,000 Inglis Bonus on offer in the 2012 Gosford Guineas

Australia’s leading thoroughbred auctioneer Inglis has announced the inclusion of an additional Bonus race in the Inglis Race Series for current three-year-olds.

Inglis will be disbursing the remaining monies from the series which commenced in October 2010 on the Listed Gosford Guineas (1200m) to be held on Sunday 22 April. A $75,000 Inglis Bonus is now on offer should the winner of this race be nominated to the Inglis Race Series.

“The Listed $250,000 De Bortoli Wines Gosford 3YO Guineas is the richest 3YO sprint during the Sydney Autumn Carnival and we are thrilled to be able to partner with Inglis to offer an additional $75,000 Bonus for eligible horses nominated in the Inglis Race Series,” stated Gosford Race Club CEO James Heddo.

Last year subsequent dual Group One winner Sincero won the Listed Gosford Guineas prior to his dominant victory in the rich Inglis Guineas at Scone.

“This now means that a winner’s purse of $225,000 is available for this race to horses nominated for the Inglis Race Series, which is sure to attract the best 3YO sprinters from around the country,” stated Heddo.

The Listed De Bortoli Wines Gosford 3YO Guineas is scheduled for Sunday 22 April 2012 with nominations closing at 11am on Tuesday 17 April 2012.

The final race in the Inglis Race Series for nominated graduates of 2010 Inglis Yearling Sales is the $500,000 Inglis 3YO Guineas (1400m). Scheduled on Saturday 19 May at Scone, the Inglis Guineas is restricted to 3YOs nominated to the Inglis Race Series. Nominations for this race close at 11am on Monday 14 May 2012.
