Night War and Jersey Lily supplemented into Easter Broodmare Sale

Night War and Jersey Lily are the latest stakes winners to be supplemented into the Super Select Session of the 2012 Inglis Australian Easter Broodmare Sale, which will be conducted at Newmarket in Sydney on April 17 to 19.

Night War’s part-owner Peter Bell has confirmed that the Group Two winning half-sister to Golden Slipper favourite Samaready will be offered at Newmarket on April 17, the opening day of the Easter Broodmare Sale. The three-year-old filly has won five and placed in another three of her nine race starts for trainer Simon Miller in Perth.

The daughter of General Nediym will be offered through Glenn Burrows’ Willow Park Stud draft, which also includes Brisbane stakes winner Zero Rock and Darci Be Good’s dam You Can’t Say That infoal to Redoute’s Choice.

“Night War proved herself the best juvenile in the west when winning the Karrakatta Plate last year. Her half-sister, the unbeaten Samaready is a Group One winning two-year-old and hot favourite for the Golden Slipper so it certainly is a privilege to be able to offer such an exciting breeding and racing prospect such as Night War under the Willow Park banner,” said Glenn Burrows of Willow Park Stud.

Dual stakes winner Jersey Lily (pictured) has also been confirmed for the Supplementary Catalogue of the 2012 Inglis Australian Easter Broodmare Sale. The two times Listed winner and Group One placed daughter of Catbird will be offered by Goodwood Farm.

The supplementary catalogue of Super Select fillies and mares at this year’s Australian Easter Broodmare Sale will be offered after Lot 223 on Tuesday April 17.

Supplementary entries for the Super Select Session will remain open until Monday April 2 and entry forms can be downloaded HERE.
