Ole Kirk share among June (Early) highlights

A Group-winning mare in foal to Too Darn Hot and a share in Champion First Season Sire Ole Kirk are among the highlights of the Inglis Digital June (Early) Online Sale, which is now open for bidding.

La Mexicana (I Am Invincible) was a fast, talented race filly that won six of her 16 starts for Anthony and Sam Freedman.

She herself won at G3 and Listed level and is offered in foal to in-demand stallion Too Darn Hot, whose yearlings sold up to $2.2m this year.

La Mexicana has had two Snitzel foals offered for public auction – her colt realised $1.7m at last year’s Easter Yearling Sale to the James Harron Colt Partnership/Tony Fung Colts/Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott partnership, while a filly sold for $700,000 at Easter this year to the combination of Guy Mulcaster and Chris Waller.

A stallion share in Ole Kirk is another valuable offering in the June (Early) catalogue.

Ole Kirk is the sire of seven Stakes winners and 10 Stakes horses – including the G1 Thousand Guineas winner Ole Dancer – from only 91 runners in Australia.

His yearlings over the past three years have grossed over $33m and sold up to $1m, while his fillies off the track have sold up to $1.5m.

He also produced more first crop 2YO Stakes winners than fellow Champion First Season Sires in Australia such as Extreme Choice, Zoustar, I Am Invincible, Too Darn Hot and Justify.

Ole Kirk is fully booked for the upcoming breeding season, standing at Vinery Stud in the Hunter Valley at a service fee of $110,000 (inc GST).

As always there are some exciting shares being offered in the catalogue including in the likes of King Zephyr – potentially targeting next week’s G1 Stradbroke Hcp – undefeated 4YO Artbeat, Rosehill Guineas 4th placegetter One Step Closer and the Stakes-winning, G1 placed 2YO To Cap It All.

In total the June (Early) Sale has 311 entries – 118 racehorses (67 race fillies), 101 broodmares, 54 racehorse shares, 16 weanlings, 15 yearlings, three unraced stock, two 2YOs, a share in Ole Kirk and a breeding right in Pierata.
