An unraced gelding by boom sire High Chaparral topped today's Inglis Autumn Thoroughbred Sale, as online bidders again played a huge role.
The sale enjoyed an excellent clearance rate of 93%, with $427,450 being traded on 125 horses sold.
Of the horses sold, 23% went to online bidders, with almost half the lots sold today attracting an online bid, including the underbidder on today’s sale topper.
"These figures just go to show how important online bidding has become at these type of sales and it certainly helped us in achieving today's strong clearance rate," Inglis Bloodstock Director Jonathan D'Arcy said.
Vin Cox secured the day's top priced lot at $60,000, the unraced three-year-old gelding Single, who is from the Group 3 winning Nashwan mare Myself.
Gold Tea, a winner at Randwick's Kensington track in January, was knocked down for $25,000 to Louise Dean. The daughter of No Excuse Needed is the winner of five races, with three of those coming since December.
Horses passed in during today's session are still available for sale via the Inglis Make an Offer service.
The next sale on the Inglis calendar is the March Thoroughbred Sale to be held at Oaklands in Melbourne next Friday.
This sale is shaping very strongly, with 192 horses catalogued and a further 62 supplementary entries have already been received.
Vendors can enter further supplementaries until 9am Monday morning. Entry forms can be downloaded HERE
