Online Bidding Highlights Summer Sale

Young Encosta De Lago mare Tricolore topped today's Sydney Summer Thoroughbred Sale on a day where online bidding was a highlight.

Tricolore was sold to Newgate Bloodstock Services for $77,500. The mare was a winner at Balaklava and is from the family of Golden Slipper winner Burst. She was sold in foal to young Coolmore stallion Henrythenavigator.

Group 1 Rosehill Guineas winner Dealer Principal was secured by his trainer Anthony Cummings for $58,000.

Overall, 86 horses were sold today from the 100 horses offered at a gross of $485,350.

Interestingly, more than 25% of the horses sold today went to online bidders.

No less than 58% of the lots offered received an online bid from 35 individual users. The online portion accounted for $121,650 of the day's gross.

Horses passed in during today's sale are still available via the Inglis Make an Offer service.

The next Inglis Sale will be the Melbourne December Thoroughbred Sale on December 17 at Oaklands. Click HERE for the online catalogue.

Supplementary entries close on December 10 and include a three quarter brother to Fields Of Omagh, (named Beatus) which has been entered as a stallion proposition.
