Only One Left On Caviar’s List

Black Caviar took another step towards Group 1 glory with a stunning demolition of a high class field in the G2 Schweppes Stakes at Moonee Valley this afternoon.

BLACK CAVIAR ($210,000 2008 Premier, 4m Bel Esprit-Helsinge) made it seven wins from seven starts when galloping to a 5-1/2 length victory over fellow Inglis graduate Hot Danish ($32,000 Scone), who was very game in her first run around the tricky Moonee Valley circuit.

Trainer Peter Moody is now eyeing off a clash with sprint sensation Hay List, with the pair set to meet in the much anticipated Group 1 Patinack Farm Classic at Flemington in a fortnight.

Tony Santic’s Makybe operation will offer a half brother to the star mare at the 2011 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale by Group 1 winning miler Casino Prince.

Other key Inglis wins today: Sound Journey added another Group 2 win to his record in leading home an all Inglis trifecta in the MVRC Patinack Farm Crystal Mile, while That’s Not It stamped himself as a possible Sandown Guineas prospect after taking out the G3 MVRC Red Anchor Stakes.

The Mark Kavanagh trained SOUND JOURNEY ($6,000 March TB, 6h Good Journey–Written By Sound), defeated fellow Inglis graduates Trader ($600,000 Easter) and Drumbeats ($350,000 Easter), who will both be looking to turn the tables in the $1million VRC Emirates Stakes on the last day of the Flemington Spring Carnival.

Rothwell Park will offer a half sister by Darley first season sire Bernardini (USA) to Sound Journey at the 2011 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.

THAT’S NOT IT ($16,000 Classic, 3c Foreplay-Imco Resource) put in a strong performance over the 1200m today and his trainers Matthew Ellerton & Simon Zahra will be looking to step the son of Foreplay up to 1400 next time out, before looking at a Sandown Guineas start.

Grasslands Thoroughbred Farm will offer a half sister by Lindsay Park Stud stallion De Beers to That’s Not It at Inglis’ top Victorian yearling sale in 2011.

Other siblings heading to Premier next year to receive timely boosts at Moonee Valley today include a full brother to G3 winner Lady Lynette and a half sister to Listed winner Zubbaya by Reset who will be offered by Armidale Stud (TAS), and Goldsborough Vines (VIC) respectively.
