Outstanding Prospects Show They’re Ready 2 Race In Sydney

Over 80 outstanding prospects set to be offered at the Inglis Sydney Ready 2 Race Sale were put through their paces on the course proper at Canterbury on Wednesday, recording some slick times ahead of their auction on Thursday 3 October 2013.

“Many thanks must go to the Australian Turf Club for allowing Inglis to gallop young inexperienced racehorses on a quality grass surface. It is a big plus,” said Inglis Bloodstock Director Jonathan D’Arcy.

“Given the talented style many completed their breeze ups in we are naturally looking forward to seeing them winning races at the major racetracks around Asia and here in Australia in the coming years,” D’Arcy added.

Professional jockeys Nash Rawiller, Sam Clipperton, Shaun Guymer, Yusuke Ichikawa, Blake Ryan, Patrick Murphy, Matthew Palmer and Willie Pearson were amongst the riders testing the quality stock to be offered at the Sydney Ready 2 Race Sale.

The quickest 200m breeze up recorded by the entries that dashed down the Canterbury straight on Tuesday was by Lot 133. To be offered by Hilton Thoroughbreds the colt by Sebring from Princess Ola logged a time of 10.48 seconds in the hot conditions.

The third and final breeze up session for the inaugural Sydney Read 2 Race Sale will be conducted at Avondale Jockey Club in New Zealand from 11:00am (local time) this Thursday 12 September. Everyone is welcome to attend and watch these 25 lots breeze up.

Video footage of all the breeze ups will available online on Monday 16 September, with DVDs ready two days later.
