Over 5000 horses sold on Bloodstock.com.au

Bloodstock.com.au, now in its fifth year of operation has just surpassed 5000 horses sold through the site.

With over 85,000 visits to the site each month, it is no wonder this resource is becoming the number one digital sales channel within the racing and breeding industry.

Horses sold through the site include multiple Group 1 winner Platelet, Group 2 winner Kabayan (to Hong Kong) Melbourne Cup placegetter Jakkalberry (2012) and Melbourne Cup runner Unusual Suspect (2011-2012).

Horses syndicated through the site include the Group 2 winner of the VRC Sires Produce Twilight Royal and stakes placed 2YO's Diamond Glow and Diamond Oasis.

As well as these successful transactions, the site is now more commonly being used by astute buyers of commercial trading prospects. This includes a breeder who purchased a mare in foal with a foal at foot for $80,000 which was then on sold for $170,000 without the foal. Another example was a $2,000 broodmare prospect that subsequently became a half-sister to a Group winning 2YO and Group 1 placegetter this year, with both deals done on the advice of the Bloodstock.com.au team.

Established in 2009 the site now offers a range of services including:

Syndications – Australia's most comprehensive research platform for those interested in buying shares in racehorses.

Stallions – home of the widest range of stallion listings in Australia. A resource tool where users can keep track of stallions and their progeny and obtain independent advice on where to send their mares.

Racefields & Results – astute bloodstock enthusiasts are kept informed on racefields across Australia, the breeding and sales history of each runner as well any relation they may currently have for sale through Bloodstock.com.au or an Inglis auction.

Buying & Selling – thousands of thoroughbreds are listed for sale and being sold every day for as little as $99 a listing.

"Bloodstock.com.au has become an integral part of the Inglis business, providing a unique platform encompassing industry specific information at the click of a button” Inglis Managing Director, Mark Webster said.

“I would like to thank all of our online customers who have helped achieve the 5000 milestone. Bloodstock.com.au looks forward to continued development of new and innovative ways to provide the industry with relevant and real time information” Webster added.
