Pasadena Girl To Launch Spring Campaign

Thousand Guineas favourite Pasadena Girl is set to launch her spring campaign on Saturday after Peter Moody accepted for the filly at Moonee Valley.

She will carry co-topweight of 57.5kg in the Listed Telstra Phonewords Atlantic Jewel Stakes (1200m) and drew gate 12 in a field of 14 plus two emergencies.

Vlad Duric rides Pasadena Girl, who has her first hitout since winning the Group 1 Champagne Stakes during the Sydney autumn carnival.

Pasadena Girl Horseform is a $7 favourite with the TAB for the Thousand Guineas ahead of Alaskan Rose at $8 and Miss Gunpowder $11.

She will have strong opposition with Ciaron Maher’s VRC Sires Produce Stakes winner Jameka Horseform (gate 13) and Group 1-placed Sagaronne Horseform (one) both resuming.

David Hayes and Tom Dabernig’s blue-blooded filly Stay With Me Horseform drew out in gate 14 while stablemate Haybah Horseform has gate 10.

Gai Waterhouse has Sweet Redemption Horseform engaged from gate 11 while Lazumba Horseform drew three, Just One Moment Horseform six, Badawiya Horseform nine and Hela Flyer Horseform 15.
