Patinack Triumph Continues Inglis' Golden 2YO Run

The dominance of Inglis graduates in juvenile Group 1 races over the past four seasons continued at Randwick yesterday, as Nathan Tinkler's Patinack Farm operation celebrated a landmark victory with Onemorenomore in the AJC Champagne Stakes.

Tinkler tasted Group 1 success last season with Casino Prince, but this was his first top level winner from last year's yearling purchases.

The colt was secured by Anthony Cummings on behalf of Patinack Farm at last year's Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale for $800,000 from the draft of Cressfield Stud.

His Group 3 winning dam Palia (Last Tycoon) is a full-sister to Casino Prince's stakes placed dam Lady Capel.

By Red Ransom from a sought after female family free of Danehill blood, Onemorenomore is now a valuable stallion prospect for Patinack Farm, especially in light of the dominance of his victory over two highly rated colts yesterday.

"Considering there are just five Group 1 races for two-year-olds run each year in Australia, it is an amazing achievement to win one of those with your first crop of yearling purchases," Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster said.

"It speaks highly of trainer Jason Coyle and the entire Patinack operation to win this race. Inglis is proud to be associated with this milestone victory.

"Patinack have once again been great supporters of the 2009 Inglis yearling sales series and hopefully Onemorenomore is a trendsetter for the success that will follow in the coming seasons."

Webster pointed out that yesterday's Champagne Stakes victory continued a stunning run of success for Inglis graduates in Australian two-year-old Group 1 races.

In fact, 10 of the last 13 individual 2YO Group 1 winners that were sold at public auction are graduates of Inglis sales.

Onemorenomore joins Blue Diamond winner Reward For Effort as Inglis 2YO Group 1 winners this season, following the likes of Samantha Miss, Reaan, Apercu, Camarilla, Mentality, Nadeem and the Golden Slipper winning fillies Miss Finland and Forensics.

The next opportunity to secure an Inglis yearling starts today at the 2009 Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale, which was also in the headlines yesterday, following the comeback Group 1 victory of $2M earner Pompeii Ruler.
