Premier II Session holds value

15th Feb 2005

The Premier II session held at Oaklands today averaged $16,073 with a gross of $1,117,000.00 and a clearance rate of 80.5%. The top lot today, a Testa Rossa colt out of Brave Scene was sold for $60,000 to the bid of one of Victoria’s leading trainers Robbie Griffiths.

Following on from a very buoyant Premier session, the Premier II sale met with great competition from buyers eager to secure a yearling eligible for the $500,000 Inglis Premier to be conducted in the Autumn of 2006.

Vendors were delighted with the prices achieved and Victorian manager, Peter Heagney was confident that this sale will continue to gain momentum and secure its position on the Victorian yearling sales calendar.

The next Inglis sale is the Summer Thoroughbred at Newmarket on 25th February and the March Thoroughbred at Oaklands on 4th March for catalogues call Sydney (02) 9399 7999 or Melbourne (03) 9333 1422.
