This year’s G1 Australian Oaks runner-up Profoundly and a share in Australia’s 2024/25 Champion First Season Sire Ole Kirk headline a typically interesting catalogue for the Inglis Digital August (Late) Online Sale, which is now open for bidding.
The Michael Freedman-trained Profoundly (Farnan) won the G3 Adrian Knox Stakes in the autumn before backing up a week later to be beaten just 0.4L when 2nd to dual G1 winner Ohope Wins in the G1 Australian Oaks at Randwick.
Also a 2YO metro winner, Profoundly is being offered as a breeding prospect in the August (Late) Sale, ready for her maiden cover this spring.
The Ole Kirk stallion share provides a breeder the opportunity to gain access to a leading stallion that is officially fully booked for the 2026 breeding season at a service fee of $110,000.
Ole Kirk has over 8% Stakes winners/runner from his first crop and his yearlings have sold up to $1m.
The 5YO mare Without Parallel (Time Test) is another appealing entry in the August (Late) catalogue, as is the well-bred 4YO Eyes Of Blue (Snitzel).
Trained by Matt Dunn, Without Parallel is already a winner of five of her 11 career starts and is a contender for the $2m The Kosciuszko, to be run at Randwick on Everest Day, October 17.
Eyes Of Blue is from a family made famous by the late Des Pope and is a sister to G3 winner and G1 placed Bridal Waltz and a half sister to seven-time winner – including at G3 level – She Dances.
In total the August (Late) Sale consists of 340 lots – 160 racehorses (95 race fillies), 79 broodmares, 71 racehorse shares, 20 yearlings, 9 unraced stock and 1 stallion share.
