Weanlings by more than 100 different stallions including I Am Invincible, Snitzel, Zoustar and Frankel headline an exciting catalogue for the Australian Weanling Sale, which is now available online.

This year’s sale will be held at Riverside on Tuesday May 5 and Wednesday May 6, kick-starting the Inglis Breeding Stock Sales Series which will be immediately followed by The Chairman’s Sale on the evening of Thursday May 7.

A catalogue of 500 lots has been finalised for the Australian Weanling Sale.

There is incredible strength in depth amongst the vendors, with the majority of Australia’s best breeders represented amongst the 48 individual vendors including Coolmore, Newgate, Widden, Segenhoe, Yarraman, Vinery, Sledmere, Kia Ora, Lime Country, Cressfield, Willow Park, The Chase, Twin Hills, Kingstar, Alma Vale, Mullaglass, Fairhill Farm, Tyreel, Davali, Cannon Hayes, Rathmore, Rheinwood, Riverstone, Noorilim, Bhima, Middlebrook Valley Lodge, Fairview, Fernrigg, Glenbeigh, Glenn Lee, Willaroon etc, many of whom are selling weanlings exclusively with Inglis in 2026.

Inglis Bloodstock CEO Sebastian Hutch was delighted with the strength and depth of this year’s catalogue.

“The Inglis Weanling Sales Series has been a fruitful market for buyers at all levels for a number of years, be they hobbyists, traders or end users,’’ Hutch said.

“We have made no secret of our objective to upgrade the sale in terms of the quantity and quality of stock offered in recent years and it has been reflected in improved results across the board, which has seen our weanling sales series develop real momentum.

“Recent Australian Weanling Sale graduates like G1 winners Hayasugi and Kimochi as well as Straight Charge, Shiki, Hard Kick, Field Of Play, Affirmative Action, Miss Icelandic, Master Fay, Brudenell, Coin Toss, Live To Tell, All That Pizzazz, Cardinal Gem and Strait Acer, amongst others, have been quality ambassadors on the racecourse for the sale while the sale has also consistently proven to be a haven for pinhookers for many, many years.

“Amongst the standouts on paper are the Shinzo sibling to Splintex and Invictus Salute, a brother to Bellazaine, a Snitzel daughter of Chassis, a Harry Angel half brother to Hayasugi, a Home Affairs daughter of How Womantic, a half sister to Napoleonic, a Wootton Bassett half brother to Captured By Love, an Anamoe son of Tiamo Grace, a Zoustar daughter of Too Good Too Hard etc.

“In 2026, the Australian Weanling Sale will be unsurpassed in terms of the opportunities available to buyers and we are looking forward to welcoming buyers from across Australia and from overseas to Sydney in May.’’
