Ready2Race Strikes Again In Singapore

Inglis Ready2Race Sale graduates maintained their exceptional strike rate in Singapore over the weekend with two winners and three placegetters from the only five R2R runners to compete.

Know Each Other (Hard Spun x Meet My Sis) led home a Ready2Race graduate trifecta in an S$65,000 Initiation Stakes, defeating Guilty Pleasures (Northern Meteor x Conclude) and Flamboyant (Tale Of The Cat x Dragon Maiden) over the 1400m trip.

Majestic Moments (Darci Brahma x In Spain) recorded his second victory in Singapore for trainer / buyer Patrick Shaw, who also prepared placegetter Mighty Glory (O’Reilly x Former Glory) for the Tmen Stable.

“Trainers and owners from Singapore were the quickest to really embrace the select format of the Inglis Ready2Race Sale and they are being duly rewarded on the racetrack with six individual winners already and another nine placegetters on the edge of the winners stall,” points out Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster.

The six Singapore winners were sold by six different vendors at last year’s sale; Widden Stud, Esker Lodge, Lyndhurst Farm, Edmonds Racing, Princess Farm and Hilton Thoroughbreds.

The focus of The Star Inglis Ready2Race Sale in 2014 is again on quality over quantity. 170 select young racehorses have been catalogued to breeze up on grass tracks in New Zealand, Victoria and Sydney in early September before being offered for sale at Inglis Newmarket on Tuesday 7 October.

“The format of The Star Ready2Race Sale is quite simple. It’s about quality young racehorses by the leading sires, all prepared by the best in the business. Singapore buyers were the quickest to catch on last year, and we hope to see more Asia and Australian buyers at this year’s sale,” added Webster.
