Reavill Dispersal Among Early Entries For The Australian Broodmare And Weanling Sale

The dispersal of Reavill Farm Bloodstock and a quality draft from Lustre Lodge are among the early entries received for the new look Inglis Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale to be held at Newmarket in May.

“The dams of Group 1 winners, exciting three-year-olds and weanling siblings to numerous stakes winners have already been entered for the streamlined broodmare and weanling sale,” said Jonathan D’Arcy, Inglis’ Bloodstock Director.

“We have strong drafts coming from many of the country’s leading studs and with entries not closing for a few weeks it looks like being an outstanding catalogue to offer our local and international clients to kick off the year’s breeding stock and weanling sale series,” adds D’Arcy.

22 lots will make up the dispersal sale of Reavill Farm (Receivers and Managers appointed) including:

  • Dam and weanling half-sister (by So You Think) of Group 1 winner Dealer Principal
  • Dam and weanling half-brother (by High Chaparral) of Mick Kent’s 3YO Oaks prospect Scratchy Bottom
  • Dam of Pillar of Hercules
  • Weanling half-sister (by Uncle Mo) to Stratum and Dystopia

Other bloodstock dispersals or reductions handled by Inglis in recent years include those of Twin Palms Stud, Risdon Bloodstock, Paul Fleming Bloodstock, Select Bloodstock, Toorak Park, Brooklyn Lodge, Lee Fleming Thoroughbreds, Michael Pitt and Orange Grove Thoroughbreds.

“The sale will be the first time buyers and sellers come together for the year at a combined feature broodmare and weanling auction. The date and format are ideal for reductions, dispersals and offering prized horses immediately after The Championships in Sydney,” D’Arcy points out.

Lustre Lodge will offer outstanding broodmare Aspen Falls, the dam of Gr.1 Thousand Guineas winner Irish Lights, in foal to All Too Hard. They will also offer Aspen Fall’s colt by So You Think in the select weanling session.

The four day sale will start on Sunday 4 May 2014 with the Select Weanling Session. The following three days will also include a General Weanling Session and Select Broodmare Session (including a separate section for race fillies and mares off the track) before finished with the General Broodmare Session.

Entries for the Inglis Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale will close on Friday 14 March 2014. Horses may be entered online at www.inglis.com.au/onlineentries or entry forms can be downloaded at inglis.com.au
