In a see-sawing battle for supremacy on the Australian General Sires List, Arrowfield Stud’s heavyweight Redoute’s Choice has taken a slim margin on earnings over archrivals Encosta de Lago and Scenic (IRE) following a stellar weekend on which he sired three stakes-winners and a Group One quinella.

Classy fillies Gallica and Estee ran one-two in the Group One SAJC Australasian Oaks at Morphettville, while on the same program stylish colt Dr Doute’s burst back to form with a barnstorming win in a Listed race over 1600 metres.

The Bart Cummings trained maiden Allez Wonder brought up the hat-trick when she charged home to win the Listed Keith Nolan Classic at Kembla on Sunday to become the 52nd stakes-winner for her sire and his 14th this season, more than any other stallion.
