Not only will jockey Steven King be wearing a set of specially designed colours incorporating the Country Fire Authority logo, but the horse will also carry a $2500 each way bet provided by Tabcorp.

Anydividend earned by Rostova will go to the CFA Public Fund in support of Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria.

Rostova's owners have kindly agreed to allow King to wear a white jacket with a red CFA logo, yellow sleeves and red cap instead of the filly's registered colours.

VRC chief executive Dale Monteith thanked the owners and praised Tabcorp support of the appeal.

“We're hosting around 400 volunteers and their families in a marquee on Saturday and I'm sure there'll be a huge roar if Rostova can get to the line first," Monteith said.

"I encourage as many racing fans as possible to get along to Flemington to support this most worthy of causes."
