A 46-lot unreserved dispersal by one of Western Australia’s most respected breeding operations, Stakes winners from Godolphin and a Zoustar half sister to a Champion Australian sprinter are just some of the many highlights in the Inglis Digital February (Early) Online Sale, which is now open for bidding.
Scenic Lodge – the famed stud north of Perth who bred the likes of dual Hemisphere G1 winner Scenic Blast and G1 Kingston Town Stakes winner Playing God – is offering a range of broodmares (29), yearlings (9), weanlings (6) and racehorses (2) as part of a dispersal brought about by the retirement of the farm’s founder David Smith, whose son Jeremy and daughter-in-law Sarah are assuming ownership.
Among the Scenic Lodge offerings is Simply Wicked (the dam of G1 winner Delicacy), Stakes placed mares, siblings to Stakes winners, mares in foal and with foals at foot and well-bred yearlings and weanlings including siblings to a G1 placegetter and Stakes placegetter.
The Scenic Lodge draft is among the 394-strong catalogue for the February (Early) sale which includes 179 racehorses (65 race fillies), 82 racehorse shares, 81 broodmares, 42 yearlings, 6 weanlings and 4 unraced stock.
Global racing and breeding powerhouse Godolphin has a draft of eight entries for the sale, headlined by Stakes winners Gravina (Sebring) and Bacchanalia (Exceed And Excel).

Talented young mare Fast Star (Zoustar) is another particularly interesting entry in the sale.
The four-year-old winner of two races from just five starts – including her most recent start a fortnight ago - is a half sister to the five-time G1-winning Champion Sprinter Santa Ana Lane.
She is offered as a racing and breeding prospect.
