Significant Godolphin draft headlines strong May (Early) Online Sale

A draft of 43 Godolphin broodmares and 13 Godolphin racehorses – as well as a G1 winner in foal to one of the world’s most exciting stallions - headlines a fascinating catalogue for the Inglis Digital May (Early) Online Sale, which is now open for bidding.

The May (Early) auction - featuring the second and final Australian Broodmare Sale Session exclusively for race fillies and broodmares – contains drafts from many of Australia’s leading nurseries like Arrowfield, Newgate, Yulong, Tyreel, Aristia Park, Alma Vale etc.

A total of 472 lots have been catalogued for the May (Early) sale, of which 262 are in the Australian Broodmare Sale Session (which closes from 10am Thursday) and a further 210 lots will close out on the traditional day of this coming Wednesday.

Among the Godolphin offerings are Stakes winners, Stakes producers, up-and-coming young racehorses, relations to G1 winners and mares in foal to the likes of Anamoe (pictured), Street Boss, Cylinder, Bivouac, Native Trail, Traffic Warden etc.

The draft includes 10 fillies or mares by outstanding sire Exceed And Excel as well as daughters of Street Cry, Medaglia d’Oro, Too Darn Hot, Lonhro, Street Boss, Commands, Harry Angel etc.

Recent Godolphin racehorse drafts have included subsequent Stakes winners Sandpaper and Barber as well as Hong Kong winner Pegas.

The G1 winner Affaire A Suivre is another highly attractive entry in the May (Early) Sale.

The Kentucky-domiciled Australasian Oaks victor is offered in foal to one of the hottest sires in the world in Not This Time, on an early September cover.

Not This Time’s current Northern Hemisphere fee is US$250,000 and he is the sire of 73 Stakes winners to date at 14% Stakes winners-to-runners.

In 2025, 17 of his yearlings realised $1m or more across the Keeneland September and Fasig Tipton Saratoga yearling sales.

Another intriguing offering from Aristia Park is the Stakes placed mare Angiolleta, carrying a pregnancy to Baaeed, who retired to stud in 2024 as a six-time G1 winner with a Timeform rating of 135.

Affaire A Suivre and Angiolleta will be offered on Thursday as part of the Australian Broodmare Sale Session which contains 200 broodmares and 62 race fillies while the remainder of the May (Early) catalogue consists of 99 racehorses, 48 racehorse shares, 32 yearlings, 19 weanlings, 5 unraced stock, 4 2YOs, 2 breeding rights and 1 stallion and will close from 10am Wednesday.
