So You Think’s Brother to Sell at Easter

One of the most exciting lots set to grace a sales ring in the next twelve months, the brother of globetrotting champion So You Think, will be offered at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale in 2012.

The colt, by Champion sire High Chaparral from the recently crowned New Zealand Champion Broodmare of the Year Triassic, will be one of the headline acts of another star-studded catalogue of the finest young thoroughbreds in the southern hemisphere to go under the hammer at Newmarket next April 10 to 12.

A seven time Group 1 winner across Australia, England and Ireland, So You Think is currently rated the equal World Champion Intermediate (Middle Distance) Turf Performer and World Champion Stayer.

The sensational galloper is the favourite for Europe’s most coveted weight for age event, the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, this October.

“We are delighted that So You Think’s co-breeder Mrs Cecile Smith of Piper Farms, who has just been named New Zealand’s Breeder of the Year, has engaged us to sell one of the standout yearlings of 2012 at Easter” Inglis Bloodstock Director Jonathan D’Arcy said.

D’Arcy and Inglis’ New Zealand representative Michael Otto inspected the colt in New Zealand two weeks ago and were very impressed with him as an individual.

“There is a great likeness between him and his famous sibling,” D’Arcy added.

Willow Park Stud, the source of Champion mare Samantha Miss, will be consigning the colt for next year’s sale in Sydney.

“We are honoured to be able to offer such a valuable colt for his entrusting owners” said Willow Park Stud’s Glenn Burrows.

“With five colts by Redoute’s Choice, including a brother to Samantha Miss, the brother to So You Think will be in very good company amongst our draft of 14 for Easter,” Glenn revealed.
