Spring Increases In All Categories

14th Sep 2006

The Inglis Spring Thoroughbred Sale recorded very strong increases in all categories this afternoon. For 151 lots sold, an aggregate of $918,650 was achieved, up by 89% on the same sale last year. Today’s average increased by 52% to $6,084 with an excellent clearance rate of 95%.

Supreme Bloodstock, QLD secured the top two lots paying $82,500 for the Royal Academy mare, Rose Academy, in foal to Not A Single Doubt and $57,500 for the Redoute’s Choice mare Doubtful Choice.

Inglis Director, Jonathan D’Arcy said, “Today’s offering was boosted by the liquidation sale of the Team Miracle Syndicate as well as a strong group of fillies from Vinery Stud in the supplementary catalogue. Certainly any mare with a commercial pedigree met with strong demand and geldings with racing potential enjoyed spirited bidding. Buyers from Western Australia and the Philippines were particularly strong and overall today continues the excellent results achieved at our mixed sales throughout 2006.
