The dams of stakes performers Get That Jive, Miss Nymeria and Get The Nod provided the highlights on Day Three of the 2016 Inglis Great Southern Sale in Melbourne today.
Cobbley (Lot 604) was sold in foal to Foxwedge for the day’s top price of $110,000 to Thoroughbred Union when offered by Yarran Thoroughbreds. From two foals to race daughter of Falbrav has produced Group 2 placegetter Get That Jive and Tony McEvoy’s recent two-year-old debut winner Cobbmore.
The dams of Group 3 winner Get The Nod and this seasons Group 2 Blue Diamond Prelude (f) placegetter Miss Nymeria both sold for $86,000.
Get The Nod’s dam Silent Cash (Lot 516) was purchased in foal to Artie Schiller by the Super One Syndicate. The Secret Savings mare has a date with Newgate Farm’s precocious son of I Am Invincible in Super One this coming breeding season.
Emirates Park was the buyer of Miss Nymeria’s dam Typhoon Tilly (Lot 554) that was offered by Stonehouse Thoroughbreds. A half-sister to Group 1 winner Typhoon Zed, Typhoon Tilly had a positive pregnancy test to Coolmore Stud’s young stallion Rubrick and Emirates Park will be taking her back to the Hunter Valley to visit Artie Schiller this season.
A total of 185 broodmares were sold for $2,561,400 on Tuesday, taking the sale’s total gross receipts past $10 million.

Inglis Sale Day Live and Online Bidding will be available from 10:00am tomorrow for the fourth and final day of the sale featuring 196 lots of Yearlings, Unbroken Stock and Racehorses.
Lots to be offered tomorrow include Group 2 winner Guest Of Honour, stakes winning three-year-old filly Mihalic, stakes performers El Greco, Iceflow, Heavy and Lucky Symbol, plus a plus a wide range of other race fillies, mares, colts and geldings.
