Stars Of The Future On Display at Sydney and New Zealand Breeze Ups

Future racetrack stars to be offered at The Star Ready2Race Sale were on display this week at breeze ups held at Cambridge, New Zealand and Canterbury, Sydney.

19 quality two-year-olds were put their paces on Monday in New Zealand, while 69 lots breezed in front of a strong crowd in Sydney this afternoon. Both were conducted on the grass course proper.

“Both days have flowed very smoothly which is a testament to the professional nature of the vendors, their quality young horses and the race clubs. With nine of the top ten two-year-old sires represented in the catalogue we are naturally very excited and even more so after seeing the outstanding racetrack talent at the breeze ups this week,” said Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster.

The fastest breeze recorded at Canterbury (Slow 6) on Friday was 10.52 seconds clocked by the low flying Fastnet Rock colt from stakes winner Dakota Sue, which is catalogued as Lot 24. We’ve purposely designed our Ready2Race Sale to be THE select breeze up of Australasia. The aim is to unearth future superstars and Glastonbury’s colt by Fastnet Rock has pedigree, conformation and natural ability of something special,” added Webster.
