The sale will be held at Oaklands this Thursday and Friday, August 18 and 19, with the sale beginning with the broodmare session from 11.30am Thursday after a parade of seven Victorian first season sires.

Highlights among the supplementary entries include the Group 3 placed Fusaichi Pegasus mare Marvellous Miss (Lot 417), being sold as a racing and breeding prospect and the Listed placed broodmare Zeinab (Lot 379).

City winning broodmares Backwhereibelong (Lot 380) and Donnas Honour (Lot 382) are also among the new additions to the sale, as is the Group 2 winning Danehill stallion Stormhill (Lot 391).

The supplementaries add to what was already a very strong sale, headed by Darley’s annual reduction of racehorses on Friday.

The sale also includes the Group 3 winning and Group 1 placed mare Marheta (Lot 201).

Recent dual impressive Melbourne two-year-old winner Hot Spin has a Lion Heart younger half-brother in the sale (Lot 160), who had another update when half-brother African Heat placed at Sandown this month.

In addition to the sale and on the eve of the new breeding season, Inglis is conducting a Breeding Thoroughbreds for Commercial Sale seminar at the conclusion of selling on Thursday from 5.30pm. This free seminar is open to the public and Inglis clients, and aims to reduce the risks and increase the returns for new and existing participants in their ventures in the Australasian commercial thoroughbred breeding industry.

The sale will be broadcast on Inglis Sale Day Live, with Online Bidding available for those unable to attend the sale.
