Supplementaries online for Australian Weanling & Bloodstock Sale

Next week’s Inglis Australian Weanling & Bloodstock Sale has been boosted by an additional 69 supplementary entries, all of which are now online at www.inglis.com.au

13 weanlings, 19 broodmares and 37 mixed bloodstock have been added to the June 27 to 29 catalogue, which now totals 737.

“Pin-hookers, owners and trainers have all experienced considerable success with acquisitions from Inglis’ weanling sale in Sydney and we expect that trend to continue with another outstanding line-up of entries compiled in next week’s sale,” said Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster.

Fairhill Farm are well respected for the weanlings they bring to Sydney, with Group 1 Manawatu Sires’ Produce Stakes winner Choice Bro a prime example, having sold the colt at this sale in 2010 for $40,000. Fairhill will bring a draft of eight to next week’s sale.

Other vendors set to bring considerable weanling drafts to the sale include Amarina Farm, Bowness Stud, Coolmore Stud, Edinglassie Stud, Emerald Thoroughbreds, Patinack Farm, Sefton Park Stud, Turangga Farm, Yarraman Park Stud and Macquarie Stud.

Macquarie Stud has been resolute in their support of the Australian Weanling & Bloodstock Sale, with the operation set to bring 20 weanlings, 23 broodmares and 22 yearlings to the sale, many by or in foal to their exciting young resident stallion Power Of Destiny. The progeny of First Season Sires are always full of admirers in Sydney, with Group 1 WATC Railway Stakes winner Luckygray a recent case in point, having been pinhooked from the initial crop of his sire Bradbury’s Luck from the Newmarket ring.

Kitchwin Hills has a lot of confidence in their Group 1 winning first season stallion Duporth, with three supplementary entries taking the stallion’s offerings next week to eight.

Other First Season Sires represented in the 2012 Inglis Australian Weanling Sale include Group 1 winners All American, Big Brown, Denman, Manhattan Rain, Nicconi, Onemorenomore, Turffontein and Wanted, plus top level performers Dreamscape, I Am Invincible, Murtajill, Raheeb, Time Thief and Von Costa de Hero.

The supplementary section includes mares by outstanding stallions like Redoute's Choice, Fastnet Rock and Pins, in addition to a half-sister to recent Group 1 Queensland Oaks winner Quintessential to be offered as Lot 688.

There are also a number of well-bred yearlings supplemented into the sale by the likes of Sebring, Red Ransom and Reset. All yearlings purchased at the Inglis Australian Weanling & Bloodstock Sale are eligible for nomination into the $5million Inglis Race Series, including the $100,000 Inglis 2YO Challenge at Scone.

Rounding out the supplementary additions to next week’s catalogue are several well-credentialed racefillies, mares, colts and geldings in the racehorse section, such as stakes placegetter Star Salute and city winning three-year-old Double Ranga.
