SUPREME COURT ALLOWS PILLAR OF HERCULES AUCTION

Further to yesterday's announcement of the sale of leading Melbourne three-year-old PILLAR OF HERCULES, thoroughbred auctioneers William Inglis & Son can confirm that the colt will be auctioned at Caulfield Racecourse on Friday November 2 at 11 am following today's Supreme Court decision.

PILLAR OF HERCULES has accepted to run in the $755,000 VRC Mackinnon Stakes on this Saturday where he has drawn gate seven and will be ridden by Stephen Baster. He will be looking to emulate Casual Pass in completing the Norman Robinson Stakes - Mackinnon Stakes double.

The Norman Robinson Stakes has thrown up some outstanding gallopers in recent years. In twelve consecutive runnings since Nothin' Leica Dane won in 1995 the race has produce eleven individual VRC, AJC or QTC Derby winners including, Ebony Grosve, Arena, Sky Heights, Headturner and Freemason. Tie The Knot and Shogun Lodge also came out of the race among a host of future Group One stars.
