Timely Update For Inglis Classic Bound Half-Sister

Breednet - Tara Madgwick - Saturday, 4 December 2010

The most impressive winner at Moonee Valley on Friday night has provided a timely update for his Inglis Classic bound half-sister.

The Peter Moody trained four year-old Testascana was sent out favourite for the Ratings 78 event over 1600 metres and bolted away over the concluding stages to win by the best part of three lengths.

The son of Testa Rossa has the overall record of five wins and four placings from 11 starts with prizemoney of $84,801, providing a plenty of thrills and a good return for his large group of owners.

Testascana was purchased by his trainer for $85,000 from the Rosemont Stud draft at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale and is the first winner for his dam Tuscanna, a good metropolitan winning daughter of Snippets.

Tuscanna was bought by Turangga Farm’s Stuart Ramsey at the 2008 Inglis Great Southern Sale for $32,000 when he was seeking suitable mares to go to his young sire Zizou (pictured), who is from the female family of Snippets.

Tuscanna’s mating to Zizou has resulted in a filly with a 4 x 3 double cross of influential matron Easy Date, the youngster set to be offered as Lot 302 at the Inglis Sydney Classic Yearling Sale in January.

Zizou has a strong draft of 14 for the Inglis Sydney Classic Yearling Sale.
