Triple Group 3 Treat For Classic Choices

Extreme Choice’s favouritism for the Blue Diamond firmed while fellow Inglis Classic graduates Spill The Beans and Puritan also scored at Group 3 level today, underlining the strength of the Sydney sale that kicks off this evening.

Mick Price secured Extreme Choice (Not A Single Doubt x Extremely) for $100,000 at last year’s Inglis Classic Yearling Sale and the colt is now as low as $2.50 for the $1 million Group 1 MRC Blue Diamond Stakes in three weeks time following his four length demolition in the Group 3 MRC Chairman’s Stakes today.

Price was quick to compare the colt to his previous Blue Diamond winner Samaready, which was also purchased as a yearling from Inglis

“He reminds me very much of Samaready, as in being a natural. We think he's going to be a red-hot chance in the race [Blue Diamond] for sure," said Price.

Another valuable Inglis Classic colt to salute at Group 3 level today was Spill the Beans, which saluted in the ATC Eskimo Price Stakes at Randwick.

Spill The Beans (Snitzel x Miss Dodwell) passed-in short of his modest $60,000 reserve at the 2014 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, but the son of Snitzel is now a very valuable stallion prospect for Arrowfield Stud.

Puritan (Beneteau x Mina) topped off the day for Inglis Classic graduates when winning the Group 3 MRC Manfred Stakes for trainer Jason Warren. The son of Beneteau was pinhooked from Crowningstone’s draft at the 2014 Inglis Classic Sale for $46,000, before selling for $80,000 as a two-year-old.

The 2016 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale will kick off with Lots 1 to 110 from 6.00pm this evening at Inglis’ Newmarket Complex in Sydney.

The sale will be broadcast on Inglis Sale Day live, with Online Bidding and Make-An-Offer available for those buyers unable to attend the Newmarket complex during the sale.

Regular updates direct from the sale ring will be posted via @Inglis_Sales on Twitter and photos of today’s race and the sale will be made available on Inglis’ Facebook page InglisBloodstock
