Tuesday Joy Colt set for Easter

Following confirmation of siblings to Black Caviar, Makybe Diva and So You Think, Inglis is able to confirm entry of the first foal of Gai Waterhouse’s gallant racemare Tuesday Joy for next year’s Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

The colt, by champion sire More Than Ready, will be among a high-quality array of yearlings from top young racemares and proven producers to sell with Inglis at Easter.

Named in honour of the nation’s greatest race, Tuesday Joy won seven of her 24 starts, including four at Group 1 level, and was placed another nine times for more than $3.2million in career prize money.

The 2008 NSW Horse of the Year’s family is without doubt one of the finest in the Australian Stud Book, with no less than ten individual Group 1 winners in the brilliant mare’s first two dams Joie Denise and Denise’s Joy, including this colt’s close relation More Joyous.

“Littered with Group 1 winners, the Denise’s Joy line is held in the highest regard and we are delighted to able to offer such a well-credentialed colt from this tightly held family,” Inglis Bloodstock Director Jonathan D’Arcy said

“This colt’s breeders, Strawberry Hill Stud, have bred and raised countless racetrack stars in recent years such as Group 1 winners Sunday Joy, All American, Seventh Rock, Universal Queen in addition to Tuesday Joy and More Joyous, and we expect this colt to much sought after come April next year,” D’Arcy added.

The 2012 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale will be held at Newmarket in Sydney from Tuesday April 10 to Thursday April 12 next year.
