TVN’s comprehensive preview of the 2009 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, hosted by Caroline Searcy and featuring many of the highlight lots, will be screened from 8pm this evening, Thursday March 26.
The program, which runs for one hour, will also be repeated at various times leading up to the sale.
Horses featured during the presentation include the first foal from three times Melbourne Cup winner Makybe Diva in addition to the Redoute’s Choice-Tugela full-brother to Musket, with both being offered by Makybe.
Another star mare highlighted in the program is Private Steer, with her Starcraft filly being paraded, in addition to the Encosta De Lago colt from her dam Lisheenowen, who is back in the spotlight with All Silent this season.
The preview also includes full relations to Headturner and Murtajill, three-quarter siblings to Stratum, Dealer Principal and Dance Hero and half relations to Alinghi, Al Maher, Portillo and Takeover Target.
Progeny of star Group 1 winning mares like Champagne, Our Egyptiain Raine, Shamekha, Regimental Gal, Miss Pennymoney, Bramble Rose and River Dove are also highlighted during tonight’s program.
The Australian Easter Yearling Sale begins next Sunday, April 5 from 11am and continues with sessions two and three on April 6 and 7.

The sale will be broadcast live on TVN and via the Inglis Sale Day Live service, which offers viewers the choice of a number of different camera positions, including sale ring and parade ring.
Buyers not able to attend can use the Inglis Online Bidding service, or post sale Make An Offer option on passed in lots.
Easter continues to be the leading source of feature and Group 1 winners in the Southern Hemisphere. Graduates have already claimed 10 Group 1 races this season among 66 stakes race wins, with graduates ranging in price from $20,000 up to $2.5million.
