Unreserved Dispersal of Lee Fleming Thoroughbreds at Upcoming Inglis Sale

The Receivers of Lee Fleming Thoroughbreds, PPB Advisory, have entered 26 horses in the upcoming Inglis Australian Weanling and Bloodstock Sale to be held in Sydney on 24 and 25 June 2013.

Amongst the entries are 16 broodmares, including Baltics and Song Of The Sun.

Baltics is a half-sister to four stakes winners and Helsinge, the dam of world champions Black Caviar and All Too Hard. Baltics’ weanling colt by Wanted sold for $220,000 to Ascot Farm recently and the daughter of Scandinavia is back in foal to the Group 1 winning son of Fastnet Rock.

The stakes placed Song Of The Sun is by Helsinge’s sire Desert Sun from Scandinavia’s dam Song Of Norway. Song Of The Sun is in foal to hot young sire Snitzel.

There are also several weanlings on offer, including progeny of Wanted, Bel Esprit, Snitzel, Hinchinbrook and Written Tycoon. The dispersal draft is topped off by a handful of young racing prospects.

Full details of this dispersal sale will be made available next week as part of the supplementary catalogue, which also includes more than 60 weanlings, broodmares and racing prospects entered by a wide range of vendors.

Several yearlings have also been supplemented to the Sydney Classic Yearling Sale Winter Book to take place on Sunday 23 June.

It is not too late to be part of these sales, but supplementary entries must close strictly at noon on Monday 17 June for all classes of horses. The entry form is available on the Inglis website by clicking HERE

“Lee Fleming has been a good client of our company and a valuable contributor to our industry for many years, this is a most unfortunate situation and I wish him well,” said Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster.

“On the flipside, this dispersal offers breeders a rare opportunity to acquire top quality bloodstock, including two mares closely related to Black Caviar.

“This dispersal has no direct impact on Eliza Park Stud, which continues to operate under the direction of the Receivers, with whom we are working to finalise a sale of the property and stallion interests,” affirms Webster.
