Racing’s biggest names will join forces with Australian sporting stars tomorrow in a unique fundraiser for DOXA Youth Foundation and the Sporting Chance Cancer Foundation.
The inaugural Melbourne 4tracks4kids charity walk will see racing and sporting identities walk the 44km journey between Melbourne’s four thoroughbred racetracks.
A core team of 20 walkers will set off from Sandown Racecourse at 3am and conclude at Flemington Racecourse at 12.15pm in time for the annual DOXA Racing Luncheon.
Along the way over 100 walkers will join them with stops at Caulfield Racecourse, Federation Square and Moonee Valley Racecourse, while 1992 Melbourne Cup winner Subzero will be waiting to guide the walkers on their final kilometre up the famous Flemington straight.
