William Inglis & Son October Racehorse Sale

A first for the William Inglis & Son sales company will see the staging of the 2006 October Racehorse Sale held this Friday, where over 100 lots will be offered.

The racehorse only sale will see a selection of both raced and unraced gallopers go through the Oaklands Junction sale ring commencing at 12 midday.

The race mare section includes an outstanding selection of fillies and race mares with both racing and breeding potential that gives stud masters the last opportunity to tap into quality bloodlines. Encosta de Lago has a fine representation in the form of the lightly raced pair of Lot 24, Comosa out of the dual Gr. 1 winning El Qahira (NZ) mare Alcove and Lot 25, Costi a half-sister to the stakes winning Magic Wish who will both have much appeal to stud masters looking for well bred mares to race and then retire to their farms.

A line up of over 50 race horses includes the multiple city winner Mindreader, the stakes placed winner of over $300,000 as well as the last years Listed AJC Breeders Plate winner Super Savings. Toy Pindarri (NZ) gelding Pindari Prince the winner of 6 races and over $150,000 appeals as a quality galloper who has form up to 2200m.

A large array of well related gallopers sees the talented Le Bucheron (Lot 59), a half-brother to the Gr. 1 AJC George Main Stakes winning Mr Celebrity, Qudraat (NZ) (Lot 55) a half-brother to Caulfield/Melbourne Cup winner Ethereal (NZ), Flaring Sun (Lot 51), a full brother to Champion mare Sunline and Lot 60, Dekaap (NZ) a winning half-brother to the Gr. 2 winners Falkirk (NZ) and Mulan Princess (NZ).

A selection of unraced 2 & 3YO’s by Gr. 1 producing sires including Carnegie (IRE), Dolphin Street (FR), Belong To Me (USA) and Bianconi (USA) as well as a filly from Swettenham Stud’s dual Group One winning stallion Dash For Cash, out of the Listed Tasmanian Oaks winner, Bellendella Dream which will go through as Lot 3.
