WILLIAMS DISPERSAL HEADS MARCH MIXED SALE

This Friday’s March Mixed sale at Oaklands Junction is highlighted by a draft of racehorses offered by leading owner Lloyd Williams, who has 39 entries in the 356 lot strong catalogue.

Some royally-bred young horses are catalogued including lots by Encosta de Lago, Redoute’s Choice, Royal Academy (USA), Pins, Hussonet (USA), Rock Of Gibraltar (Ire), Flying Spur and of course, there are several entries by Zabeel, the sire of Williams’s Melbourne Cup winner, Efficient.

The breeding stock section of the sale includes drafts from leading Victorian nurseries like Blue Gum Farm, Eliza Park Stud, Independent Stallions and Emirates Park with other impressive drafts from Ultra Thoroughbreds, Swettenham Stud and Kingston Park Stud in the racing stock section.

“This is one of the strongest March catalogues we have assembled and the level of interest is understandably high.” said William Inglis Director Peter Heagney. “Obviously the Lloyd Williams draft has attracted a lot of attention highlighted by quality gallopers Tintern, Renewable, Completion and Simplest. Additionally there a lot of other exciting offerings in what is shaping as a serious sale.”

Sydney Autumn Thoroughbred Sale to feature Live Global Bid

In Sydney, the Autumn Thoroughbred Sale on Monday March 17 will make history. This will be the first thoroughbred auction in Australasia to have live internet bidding through Inglis’s partner Live Global Bid.
