Win a share in a horse with Bart Cummings!

The reasons to be on course at AAMI Golden Slipper Day at Rosehill on Easter Saturday and at David Jones AJC Australian Derby Day at Randwick on April 10th just became even more compelling with the announcement that punters who attend either meeting will have the chance to win a $50,000 share of a racehorse chosen by Racing Hall of Fame trainer Bart Cummings at this year’s Inglis Australian Easter Yearling sales.

Bart Cummings will purchase a yearling at the Easter Sale at Newmarket, Sydney, on April 6th-8th, entries will close at 2.30pm at Randwick on Derby Day, and the winner of the competition will be drawn between 2.45pm and 3.00pm, just before the running of the Inglis Sires Produce Stakes.

To enter race day patrons on AAMI Golden Slipper Day on Easter Saturday, and David Jones AJC Australian Derby Day on April 10th, will need to either cut out the entry form from a competition advertisement, or download a form online, and then be on-course to submit their entry. Participants must be over 18 years of age to enter.

The overall value of the prize will be $50,000, which includes the share, two years of training bills and insurance, with the purchase price of the yearling to determine the percentage in the ownership of the competition winner.

A $250,000 yearling would equate to $50,000 total prize comprising approximately 15% ownership plus the two years training and insurance. The promotion is being organized by the stakeholders in the Sydney Autumn Carnival, who are AJC, STC, Inglis, Tabcorp, Racing NSW and Events NSW.

Once announced, the winner will have an immediate share of a horse that may well be Bart’s next David Jones AJC Australian Derby winner – who knows? Inglis will be responsible for management of the share. This will include settlement of all accounts and looking after communications.
