Premier continues to be a rich source of outstanding racehorses and a reminder was issued last weekend, with the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate win at Caulfield by Royal Ascot bound STARSPANGLEDBANNER ($120,000 2008 Premier) and on Sunday at Sha Tin, when world champion sprinter SACRED KINGDOM ($200,000 2005 Premier) won the HK G1 Chairman’s Sprint Prize.

Top filly SET FOR FAME ($75,000 2008 Premier) was a Group 2 winner at Caulfield and she is now regarded as the main danger to Denman in next month’s Group 1 Australian Guineas.

Premier has enjoyed an outstanding month, as TURFFONTEIN ($70,000 2006 Premier) was also a Group 1 winner of the William Reid Stakes, while the form around undefeated G2 Australia Stakes winning filly BLACK CAVIAR ($210,000 2008 Premier) was franked with the subsequent Group wins by the minor placegetters Here De Angels and La Rocket.

“It is a well established fact that Premier continues to go from strength to strength, with racetrack deeds growing greater by the year,” Inglis Director Peter Heagney said.

“This sale offers buyers a wonderful opportunity to buy a Group 1 winner without a premium price tag.

“Vendors have offered great support again this year – as evidenced by the 78 youngsters from stakes winners and 74 siblings to stakes winners - and there are some wonderful yearlings on the ground this week.”

The sale will be televised via Inglis Sale Day Live, with footage of the sale and parade rings, along with up to the minute results and statistics.

The opening session on Monday will also be telecast on TVN.
