Racing Victoria - Friday, 15 July 2011

Connections of Canberra raider Jackpot Queen will be hoping for better luck than their filly has had in previous Inglis Bonus races when she steps out in the Wellington RC Inglis Bonus at Caulfield on Saturday.

The Matthew Dale-trained daughter of Not A Single Doubt contested Inglis Bonus races at her first two starts, but was forced to settle for a trip to the runner-up stall on both occasions.

After running second to subsequent Black Opal Stakes winner You're Canny in the Canberra leg on debut, she ran into classy Sydney filly Pane In The Glass in the Inglis Nursery.

Jackpot Queen, a winner up the Flemington straight in May, is one of 10 horses guaranteed a start in the 1000m event - Race 4 on the eight-race Caulfield card at 1.55pm - who will earn connections a $100,000 Inglis bonus if successful.

Her chances of going one place better than other Inglis Bonus races wasn't helped at the allocation of barriers, where she came up with gate 18.

Delegance will start alongside Jackpot Queen in barrier 17, but unlike the ACT visitor she will be chasing her second Inglis bonus of the season.

The Russell Cameron-trained daughter of Delzao collected a $50,000 bonus when she won the Inglis Bonus at Warrnambool during the Tabcorp May Racing Carnival.

The $100,000 Inglis sweetener isn't the only bonus Delegance is chasing at Caulfield with the race, which carries $70,000 in prizemoney, also offering $30,000 in Super VOBIS bonuses.

Delegance, Chase The Rainbow and first emergency Hot Spin – who has gained a run thanks to the scratching of Kid Kobe – are the only other Super VOBIS horses assured of a start also in line for the Inglis bonus and will collect $165,700 in total if successful.

Aashiq, Chabrier, Infinite Energy, Unique Quality, Chivvy, Light Touch and second and fourth emergencies Manor Lady and Moscow are the other Wellington RC Inglis Bonus runners also eligible for the $100,000 incentive.
