Some of the best breeding stock to be offered online anywhere in the world this year has been catalogued for the Inglis Digital April (Late) Online Sale, featuring the inaugural Australian Broodmare Sale Session.
A total of 478 lots have been finalised for the auction, which will close out over two days next week for the first time.
The Australian Broodmare Sale Session has attracted 268 entries – 200 broodmares and 68 race fillies – and will close for bidding from 10am Thursday (April 30).
The remainder of the April (Early) catalogue – 71 racehorses, 60 racehorse shares, 38 yearlings, 22 weanlings, 7 2YOs, 5 unraced stock, 4 breeding rights, 2 stallion shares and 1 stallion - will close for bidding on the traditional Wednesday (April 29) from 10am and is headlined by a share in reigning Champion Sire Zoustar and a breeding right in boom First Season Sire Anamoe.
The Australian Broodmare Sale Session has drawn the attention of some of Australia’s leading nurseries like Coolmore, Tyreel, Willow Park, Aristia Park etc.
A boutique draft from Aristia Park features Stakes performers, Stakes producers and mares in foal to the likes of Home Affairs, Storm Boy and Wild Ruler while among Tyreel’s high class draft of Stakes winners and mares in foal to Bivouac and Hellbent is the G2 winner Snitty Kitty, in foal to Maurice.
The draft from Willow Park – which has sold the dams of 15 G1 winners including the dam of Aeliana - features relations to G1 winners, Stakes performers and mares in foal to the likes of Cosmic Force, Storm Boy, Brutal, All Too Hard and Ozzmosis while among Coolmore’s broodmare offering are mares in foal to Home Affairs and Shinzo as well as the Group-winning 2YO Vinicunca, in foal to Switzerland.
Other highlights of the Australian Broodmare Sale Session include:
*Atlantic Emerald – Half sister to multiple G1 winner Russian Emperor, offered in foal to Shinzo
*Art Collection – Group performed 2YO, in foal to Home Affairs
*Bubbles Please – 3YO half sister to recent G1 winner Idle Flyer, she is a valuable racing and breeding prospect
*Eruptive Force – Half sister to multiple G1 winner Explosive Jack, offered in foal on her maiden cover to The Autumn Sun
*Excelsior Island – Dam of 2YO Stakes winner Calamari Ring, offered carrying a full relation
*Indira – Half sister to recent G3 winner and G1 placed filly Profoundly
*Meseika – Dam of G3 winner Osmose and Listed winner Paris Style, offered in foal to Home Affairs
*Pru – Half sister to G1 winner Jameka
*Queen of Clubs – 2YO Sydney metro winner and G2 placed at three, the 3YO filly is a quality racing and breeding prospect
*Woosh – Stakes placed at her only start behind the unbeaten Aristopolos, this 2YO filly out of G1 winner Oohood is a rare offering
*Word on the Street – Sister to a Stakes winner, offered in foal to Bivouac
The remainder of the April (Early) catalogue is headed by the Zoustar share and Anamoe breeding right.
Zoustar had six $1m+ yearlings at this year’s Easter Yearling Sale – where his progeny averaged $680,962 – while Anamoe’s first yearlings sold up to $1,100,000, $950,000, $900,000, $850,000 etc in 2026.
Other highlights in the April (Late) catalogue include the three-time winners Leg Drive (Grunt) and Aligned (Russian Revolution), All On Red (Doubtland) – the talented WA 2YO that has won two of his four starts, both at metro level – and lightly raced 3YO Willingham (Justify), a Sydney metro winner at his penultimate start.
Among the racehorse shares section is 5% in Verdoux – a placegetter at 10 of his 12 starts including being a four-time winner – 5% in the G2 placed Verdad, two 2.5% shares in talented 3YO Snitzel colt Satirically (a winner of two of his four starts to date) and five shares totalling 23.82% of Ruination, which finished 2nd behind G1 winner Attica at Listed level in the spring.
There are also yearlings and weanlings by the likes of Artorius, Brutal, Dundeel, Farnan, Maurice, The Autumn Sun, Zousain etc.
The final countdown of bidding for the Inglis Digital April (Late) Online Sale is split over two days – race fillies and broodmares (Australian Broodmare Sale Session) will close from 10am Thursday (April 30) while the remainder of the catalogue will close from the traditional time of 10am Wednesday.
