The annual Inglis Scone Broodmare Sale will be held at White Park on Friday 24 August, right on the dawn of the 2012 southern hemisphere breeding season.
Supplementary entries have taken the number of fillies and mares catalogued for the timely sale to 115.
“The timing of the sale represents a great opportunity for breeders to top up broodmare bands with readymade breeding prospects right on the eve of the new breeding season to send to the stallion of their choice,” Inglis Bloodstock Director Jonathan D’Arcy points out.
Racefillies straight off the track catalogued include stakes winner Charm’s Honour, city winner Crystal Doll, city placed Pale and provincial winner North Pole Dancer which hails from a sister to the dam of Samantha Miss.
Sires of fillies and mares set to be auctioned include Anabaa, Canny Lad, Commands, Dehere, Desert Sun, Encosta de Lago, Exceed And Excel, Fastnet Rock, Flying Spur, Galileo, Grand Lodge, More Than Ready, Mossman, Mr Prospector, Red Ransom, Rory’s Jester, Scenic, Snippets, Testa Rossa, Zabeel and Zeditave.
Covering stallions of broodmares catalogued include All American, Beneteau, Congrats, Denman, Duke Of Marmalade, Duporth, I Am Invincible, Magic Albert, Myboycharlie, Not A Single Doubt, Sebring, Starcraft, Stratum, Teofilo, Time Thief and Zizou.
The sale commences at 12 noon on Friday 24 August.
