Selling Information
  • American Pharoah’s first crop of Australasian yearlings have sold for up to $850,000 in 2020.
  • The first northern hemisphere crop of 2YOs by American Pharoah included 27 individual 2YO winners, 4 SWs and a Breeders’ Cup winner.
  • Imported European-bred mares are responsible for the likes of recent high-class Australian-bred performers The Autumn Sun, Funstar, Unforgotten, Takedown, Land Of Plenty, Leicester, Hungry Heart, Dubious etc.
  • Acclamation is one of Europe’s most effective speed sires, with his progeny including top-class sire Dark Angel, Marsha, Aclaim, Equiano etc. while he is the broodmare sire of high-class G1-winning 3YO sprinter Eqtidaar.
  • “This mare ran just 12 times, but won at each of France’s major racetracks and clearly had her fair share of ability. Imported European mares have done particularly well in Australia in recent years and the fact that she is an increasingly rare outcross to Danehill only enhances her appeal. She is a lovely model and the pedigree remains active. Plenty of people in the know seem to think that American Pharoah is a star-stallion in the making in the US and given the way his first yearlings have sold in Australia, he looks set to have every chance here too.” - Glenn Burrows, Willow Park Stud
