Covid-19 Update

• The Inglis Great Southern Sale at Oaklands, Melbourne on Sunday July 4 and Monday July 5, will proceed as a live auction as scheduled.
• Travel restrictions are in place, only those with a Victoria Border Entry Permit or a Specific Worker Permit are eligible to enter Victoria from affected areas.
• Given the fluidity of the situation, all Great Southern Sale participants are urged to keep up to date on the current travel status via the Victorian State Government website.

Broodmares in foal to some of the most in-demand stallions in the country highlight another outstanding renewal of the Great Southern Broodmare Sale.

In total, 126 Broodmares will be offered at the sale on Monday July 5, following the completion of the Great Southern Weanling Sale.

There will then be a collection of proven producers and younger mares in foal to the likes of Capitalist, Street Boss, Dundeel, Exceedance, Frosted, Lonhro, Nicconi, The Autumn Sun, Toronado and Omaha Beach etc offered at the auction.

“You only need to look at that list of recent graduates to know that if you’re serious about finding a lucrative prospect, Great Southern is a sale that must be taken very seriously,’’ Inglis’ Victorian Bloodstock Manager James Price said.

“Year after year the sale produces some fantastic results and on the back of a buoyant round of yearling sales, this is another fabulous opportunity for investors to acquire quality broodmares carrying potential stars for end users or high-priced future yearlings for traders and breeders.”

Supplementary entries for the Great Southern Broodmare Sale remain open until June 21.
