Sale Overview

Mares in foal to the likes of Kingman, Toronado and So You Think headline a strong overall catalogue for the Great Southern Broodmare Sale.

In total 65 broodmares will be offered at Oaklands on Friday June 10 in what is the last chance of the Southern Hemisphere sales season to secure top-quality broodmares at a live auction.

Weanlings will sell all day Thursday and into Friday, when at their conclusion the broodmares will be offered, many in foal to the likes of Kingman, Toronado, Russian Revolution, So You Think, Too Darn Hot, Ole Kirk, Farnan, Tagaloa, Anders, Earthlight, Lucky Vega etc.

The Great Southern Sale has proven beneficial on multiple fronts for buyers in recent years.

“This year’s catalogue has all the right ingredients for buyers to enjoy success, no matter what their end goal is,’’ Inglis’ Victorian bloodstock manager James Price said.

“There have been some fantastic stories from the sale in recent years and some life changing results, so we are looking forward to another competitive renewal of the sale.’’

Supplementary entries for the Great Southern Sale will be accepted until 5pm on Wednesday June 1.
