884 quality Lots have been catalogued for the extended Inglis Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale, which is available online. Now a four day event, the sale will run on 3, 4, 5 and 6 May 2015 at Inglis' Newmarket complex in Sydney.
“Buyers investing in bloodstock earlier in the year have a headstart in refreshing their broodmare band and securing their matings for the next breeding season,” said Inglis’ National Bloodstock Director, Jonathan D’Arcy.
“The extension of this year’s sale means vendors have shown confidence in the timing of the auction and buyers can be confident that there really is something for everyone at Newmarket this May,” D’Arcy said.
Vendors have thrown overwhelming support behind the sale, specifically the Platinum weanling session which will kick off the sale with 149 Lots for which x-rays will be available for viewing at the repository. The select and general weanling sessions will follow with a further 122 weanlings on offer.
The catalogue oozes quality, with over 50 weanlings being siblings to stakes performers including full or half relations to Group Winners Pear Tart, Pressday, Sirmione, Toydini, Snort and Primus. Mares represented by progeny in the weanling sale include stakes winners Baby Corn, Chickens, Skyerush, Rhythm in Paris, Astounded, Johan's Toy, Penny Gem, Afraah, Sojustrememberthis and Marchelle Belle.
Buyers will also have the opportunity to secure the first weanlings offered by this year’s outstanding group of first season sires including Pierro, All Too Hard, Your Song, Animal Kingdom, Excelebration, Ocean Park, Dalakhani, Delago Deluxe, Americain, Bullet Train, Harbour Watch, Instinction and Golden Archer. Proven sires with weanlings on offer include Fastnet Rock, Street Cry, Snitzel, Sebring, Exceed and Excel, More Than Ready, High Chaparral, Medaglia d'Oro, Stratum, Not. Single Doubt, Bernadini and I am Invincible.
The Baxter family will be dispersing their bloodstock interests in an unreserved dispersal during the sale consisting of 16 weanlings and 25 broodmares, along with stallion shares in both Sebring and Onemorenomore.
Darley, Holbrook Thoroughbreds, Coolmore Stud, Yarraman Park, Widden Stud, Middlebrook Valley Lodge, Sledmere Stud, Rothwell Park, Vinery Stud, The Vieira Group, Think Big Stud, Kitchwin Hill, Emirates Park and Macquarie Stud are among those with drafts of 20 or more.
Included in the draft of Eliza Park is the mouth-watering pedigree of Fusaichi Pegasus mare Baltics, in foal to Bel Esprit carrying a three-quarter relation in blood to Black Caviar.
The catalogue also features top class broodmares in foal to Australia’s newest sires Zoustar, Eurozone, Dundeel, Shamus Award, Albrecht, Declaration Of War, Dawn Approach, The Factor, Sizzling, Fighting Sun, Camelot, Carlton House, Epaulette, War and Unencumbered. Proven sires represented in-utero include Redoute’s Choice, Snitzel, Bel Esprit, Sebring, I Am Invincible, More Than Ready, Not A Single Doubt, Medaglia d’Oro, Choisir, Stratum and High Chaparral.
No less than 47 stakes-winners are catalogued in the broodmare section including Group 1 ATC Golden Slipper winner Calaway Girl, and Group 1 ATC Coolmore Classic winner Eskimo Queen. Other highlights include young Group 3 winning mares Danesiri, Thiamandi and Neena Rock, Group 1 performer Golconda, and Group 3 winner Absolutelyfabulous in foal to More Than Ready. The dam of Group 2 winner Toydini, Johan’s Toy will be offered in foal to Dundeel.
