Both sales are an opportunity for vendors to offer their racing and breeding stock, with sections for thoroughbreds at each stage of their career, including weanlings, yearlings, both dry and in-foal broodmares, stallions, unbroken horses and of course racehorses.
Mixed sales in both Sydney and Melbourne have consistently delivered pleasing results for both vendors and buyers, with a combined average 90% clearance rate for 2015, with four sales clearing 95% or more.
These results are traditionally aided by the presence of reductions from a variety of vendors, both studs and racing stables, including Lindsay Park, Darley/Godolphin, Hudson Conway Racing, Eliza Park International, Emirates Park and Bowness Stud.
Entries will close next Friday 12 February for this month’s Summer Thoroughbred Sale, with an online catalogue that will be available on Monday 15 February at inglis.com.au or for download on the Inglis iPad App.
Entries for the March Thoroughbred Sale to be held at Inglis’ Oaklands Complex in Melbourne will close at 5pm this Friday 5 February, with hard-copy catalogues available in the coming weeks.
