Inglis Appoints Boomer As North American Representative

On the back of a record-breaking start to Inglis’ sale season, Inglis National Bloodstock Director Jonathan D’Arcy today announced the appointment of Craig ‘Boomer’ Rounsefell as the company’s representative in North America.

“As American interests in Australian racing advance, Inglis recognises the value of nurturing and developing this sector of the market,” said D’Arcy.

“We are thrilled to engage such a passionate and knowledgeable individual in this role. Craig has a wealth of experience in the bloodstock industry globally and he will be a great asset to Inglis and our clients,” D’Arcy said.

Craig has spent time working for Champion Australian horse trainer Gai Waterhouse, John Oxx at his Curraghbeg Stables on the Curragh in Ireland, American Hall of Fame Trainer Neil Drysdale in California, as well as completing an internship with the Keeneland Association in Kentucky.

Alongside a Bachelor of Commerce, Craig is also a graduate of the prestigious Darley Flying Start International Student Program, during which he spent two years working on racing and breeding operations throughout Ireland, England, America, Japan, Australia and Dubai. He also undertook work experience with Inglis in Australia, BBA-Ireland, Charlie Gordon-Watson in the UK, Mike de Kock Racing Stable in Dubai and Darley Japan. After returning to Australia in 2008, Craig commenced his own bloodstock company Boomer Bloodstock International.

This announcement follows Craig’s recent appointment of Lynn Hancock as Bloodstock Liaison for Boomer Bloodstock International. Lynn’s strong ties to the bloodstock industry in America date back five generations, including her grandfather’s Claiborne Farm and her father’s Stone Farm.

Craig joins Inglis’ accomplished team of international representatives Satomi Oka (Japan), Paul Guy (South Africa), and Michael Otto and Michael Wallace (New Zealand).
