Diverse Offering At August Thoroughbred On Friday

88 supplementary lots, including two shares in Black Caviar’s sire Bel Esprit, have been added to the diverse catalogue of offerings at the Inglis August Thoroughbred Sale in Melbourne this Friday 21 August 2015.

Proceedings at the Oaklands sales complex will get underway at 10:00am with several of Victoria’s leading stallion farms parading their first season sires Warrior’s Reward, Cluster, Rock Hero, Hampton Court, Warhorse, Can The Man, Jimmy Creed and London Bridge.

From 10:30am 282 lots covering Broodmares, Stallion Nominations, Stallions, Yearlings, Unbroken and Racing stock have been catalogued to go under the hammer. CLICK HERE for the online catalogue.

“All equine enthusiasts are welcomed out at Oaklands on Friday for another bumper August Thoroughbred Sale. The sale has several outstanding lots on offer, including a reduction of racing stock by Darley Australia, which always generates significant competition from buyers looking for the next Sonntag,” said Simon Vivian, Inglis Victorian Bloodstock Manager.

Pedigree updates, photos and the list of withdrawn lots are all available at inglis.com.au

Disappointingly Melbourne Polytechnic, the governing body of Northern Lodge Stud, has decided to withdraw all of their catalogued broodmares and stallion shares from the sale.

“We have been working closely with the team at Northern Lodge and have been marketing their dispersal sale extensively to our vast client base, so their withdrawal is an unfortunate result for what is shaping up to be a great August Thoroughbred Sale overall,” added Vivian.

Many well performed gallopers are among the Racing Stock to be sold on Friday including Our Voodoo Price, a winner at Caulfield last Saturday, plus other Chris Waller form runners Danchai, Rugged Cross and Eigelstein.

Darley sold subsequent Group 1 winner Sonntag at 2013 August Thoroughbred Sale and they will offer 24 lots in 2015, including lightly raced fillies by Street Cry, Lonhro, Hard Spun, Shamardal and Exceed And Excel.

The sale’s supplementary entries include 19 Broodmares (Lots 195-213), two shares in Black Caviar’s sire Bel Esprit (Lots 214 & 215), yearlings, unbroken and racing stock from Lindsay Park Racing, Range Lee Thoroughbreds, Eliza Park International and others.

Seven stallion nominations have generously been donated to Thoroughbred Breeders Victoria (TBV) with proceeds to support the Victorian breeding industry. These nominations (Lots 68 to 74) are to Helmet, Written Tycoon, Hampton Court, Toorak Toff, Puissance de Lune, Stryker and Statue Of Liberty.

The full catalogue, including all 88 supplementary entries, is available online at inglis.com.au and on the Inglis Sales iPad App. Hard-copy supplementary catalogues will be available at Inglis’ Oakland’s Sales Complex on Friday.

Online bidding will be available at the August Thoroughbred Sale. Requests for bidding approval should be made HERE by 4pm on Thursday to ensure applications can be processed before the start of the sale.
