153 lots of broodmares, racehorses, yearlings and unbroken stock have been catalogued for the March Thoroughbred Sale to be held at Oaklands in Melbourne on Friday 18 March.
“Racehorse and broodmare sales in Melbourne traditionally deliver great results, driven by the presence of reductions in stock from some of Australia’s leading vendors. The catalogue is rich in variety and we are confident buyers will find what they are looking for,” said Inglis Victorian Manager Simon Vivian.
Godolphin (previously Darley) are presenting a sizeable draft of 25 racehorses, including three-year-old filly Chamunda (Lot 94), a three-quarter sister to Group 3 winning juvenile Champollion. Visual Motif (Lot 100) and Anzio (Lot 102) are lightly-raced three-year-olds from another of Godolphin’s black-type-laden families.
Stud farms with drafts in the broodmare section include Eliza Park International, Swettenham Stud, Supreme Thoroughbreds, Ken King Thoroughbreds, Flinders Park Stud and Bowness Stud.
Sires represented in-utero are Reward For Effort, Street Boss, Bullet Train, Magnus, Toorak Toff, Anacheeva, Bon Hoffa, Sidestep, Easy Choice, Glass Harmonium and Walking Or Dancing.
Seven of the 48 broodmares on offer have foals at foot by stallions Bel Esprit, Stryker, Elvstroem, Wanted and Glass Harmonium.
Supplementary entries for the March Thoroughbred Sale will be taken until 5pm Friday 11 March. CLICK HERE to enter online or HERE to download an entry form.
