The opportunities that a mixed sale can present were highlighted on the weekend by Our Voodoo Prince’s Listed Pakenham Cup win for Darren Weir. The victory is the second in six starts for new owners Yu Long Investments, which have earned $130,000 within three months of the purchase from an Inglis mixed sale in August.
41 tried horses will be offered under various banners at Friday’s sale, including Anthony Cummings’ Group 1-placed galloper Best Case. After running a gallant fourth in Saturday’s Listed ATC Cup at Rosehill, the five-year-old is catalogued as Lot 54.
Three unraced two-year-old fillies (Lots 22, 24 and 25) offer a fresh slate for buyers to invest in a future racing prospect and later a breeding prospect, with a lot of the preparation completed.
Racing and breeding propositions will be offered by vendors including Evergreen Stud Farm, Strawberry Hill Stud, Muskoka Farm, Segenhoe Stud, Twin Palms Stud, Bowness Stud and Amarina Farm.
Sires of broodmares being offered include Sebring, Northern Meteor, Exceed And Excel, Bel Esprit, Commands, Strategic and Danehill Dancer.
Bon Hoffa and Walking Or Dancing are represented in-utero, while Star Witness, Love Conquers All, Husson and Pluck are sires that are represented by foals at foot.
It is expected that online bidding will again be popular with buyers at this sale, so potential investors are encouraged to register early for online bidding by CLICKING HERE.
Hard-copy catalogues will be available from Reception on the morning of the sale.
